So, these creative writing attempts are based on specific phrases that my friend Russell provides on a weekly basis, and we, his writing buddies, write something around that phrase. so that might be one reason why this stuff seems strange. also, it is strange, because i am strange.

my lego "poem" (so now i think maybe i'm creative)
Current mood: funny
i gotta write a thing about legos
legos legos on the brain
it's those darn ol' legos that i disdain
my baby brother is obsessed with making stuff
i try to get him to play with me but it's too tough
so i try to be a good sister and make a pretty lego house
but then he throws it against the closet door, acting like a total louse
it breaks into a million pieces
and then he says "now go write your thesis"
no wait, we were in grade school, that part didn't happen
so then my patience runs out and my foot starts a tappin'
i yell at my brother, "you are dumb and I hate playing with you!
"'this game is done, and we are through!"
he shrugs his shoulders and goes back into his head
i run off in a huff and then climb onto my bed
it's those dumb legos that make my brother not want to play with me
'cause i'd rather read a book
(i was never terribly good at this rhyming thing)
